How To Book A Slot:
Commission spots are currently CLOSED INDEFINITELY. I may offer some sporadic slots here and there which will have instructions on how to enter. Be sure to join my newsletter to receive first dibs on commission offerings.
Pricing Details:
Prices are "all-inclusive" and include Standard Prepping, Painting, and Standard Shipping (within the USA) back to you unless otherwise noted or discussed. (International shipping is actual cost, using whichever service offers tracking and full insurance. This will be calculated and added to original service quote once your custom is complete and usually starts around $50). Shipping includes full insurance plus signature confirmation on domestic orders.
Quotes given are for models assumed in clean, unprepped condition. If you have a raw, second, pre-prepped, primed or stripped model, it must be disclosed and discussed PRIOR to booking your slot. Additional prepping fees may apply. A photo of the body will be required in order to receive a proper quote. If an unclean body is sent without consent, your order will be cancelled at your expense.
I prefer for you to send the model you wish me to work on. However, I may occasionally have some available for you to choose from. Full value cost of my model will be added to your total. (My full collection of bodies can be seen here. Please keep in mind that NOT all of these (if any) are available for commission but if any strike your fancy, let me know and I will see what I can do).

Timeframes & The Process:
Commission Payment Details:
These policies apply to all commission sales. My general sales policies also apply and can be found here.
- Completion times can not be guaranteed. Depending on size and complexity of your order, please allow at least 1-12 months for completion of your piece. Larger, more complex customs may take much longer.
- You can check the status timeline of your order at any time. Just follow the link you received when your slot was booked or visit the "Check Progress" page.
- Please keep in mind that your slot is not necessarily a place in line. I will work on commissions simultaneously and alternate back and forth between multiple horses. I may jump around, paint a sales piece or two, or take a break to recharge. It's easy to burn out when working on the same project for an extended period of time and it really affects the quality of the finished product. Jumping around and taking short breaks assures that your piece will look it's absolute best! Please be patient.
- Some artistic leeway is required for every commission I create. I will do my absolute best to make your dream horse a reality and come as close as I can to what you are envisioning. But please keep in mind that it's almost impossible to match something exactly, especially when done by written explanation or through digital pictures through different monitors, cameras and camera settings so be sure to view my galleries and examine my style to make sure it's right for your custom. The more reference photos and details you can provide me, the better I can assist and the closer I can come to what you are imagining. Many photos are posted to my Facebook page throughout the process and you will be updated with photos for approval if there are any critical points of the process.
- When you receive an approval email, your custom's progress is put on hold until I receive confirmation and the go-ahead to move on to the next step. Be sure you are completely happy with what you see and feel free to request more photos, minor tweaks/changes within reason, etc. before confirming each step. Once a step is approved, it can not be changed without added fees or at all. Any change of mind where I would need to practically start over (i.e. you originally wanted a dark bay that I started and now you change your mind to a light palomino) will cost extra provided the change is still possible to do. I, as almost all artists, have certain standards set in place for the work that leaves the studio. So if a change you are asking for or color you are choosing hinders my standards, I have the right to refuse service.
- If there are photos in need of approval, they will either be emailed/PMed, posted to facebook or to an online album for your viewing (whichever is easier for me to do at the time). I may delete any albums/photos at any time. Please be sure to save any photos you'll need for your future reference as they appear.
- I may publicly post and share, on Facebook and other Forums/websites, photos of your commission(s) from time to time while they are in progress and I also reserve the right to publicly post the photos once the custom is complete. If you wish to keep your commission private during it's progress, please let me know before I begin and I will refrain from posting photos until your custom is complete and delivered.
- Buy what you love, winning is the bonus. ;) Please keep in mind that the term "Live Show Quality" (LSQ) is very subjective and I do not make any guarantees that my work will win at the shows they may attend while in your possession. While much of my work has won at numerous shows including NAN champs, reserve champs and top tens, there is no guarantee that your piece will do the same. I create each piece to the best of my abilities and skill so please be sure to browse my galleries to get an idea if my work suits your style and tastes. Many judges have different judging methods, tastes and preferences. They place the horses as they see fit and this is out of any artist's control.
- It is your responsibility to keep me up to date on all of your contact information and reply to any emails regarding your order in a timely manner. Therefore, six months (or 30 days if the custom is complete) after the last payment date or last date of contact from you (whichever is later), if you disappear, refuse to respond, or I cannot get in touch with you regarding your order for any reason, ALL of your property that is in my possession and ALL payments made will be considered abandoned and forfeit. You agree that everything then becomes my property to do as I see fit. So be sure to update me with any moves, extended vacation times or email changes you may have during your order period to avoid forfeit of your order and breech of contract.
Commission Payment Details:

If I do not receive the final balance or hear from you within 30 days of your custom's completion date, you forfeit your order and any payments made. I also reserve the right to sell the custom elsewhere. If something comes up and you are having trouble paying within this time frame, please contact me ASAP so we can work out a resolution. Communication is VERY important to me!
- I do NOT accept time payments for completed commissions. Exceptions may be made for invoice totals of $600+ which are completed in 3 months or less. I do allow partial payments throughout the commission process only, but once your piece is done, you have 7 days to send the final payment. The invoice you receive at the time of booking is a partial payment invoice and can be paid at your leisure during the process in increments of $50 or more. There will be a $10 time payment service fee added to this invoice which will be removed if your final payment is sent on time and not a moment later. If your final payment is late, this $10 will remain and there will be an additional $10/week late fee added each week the payment is late.
These policies apply to all commission sales. My general sales policies also apply and can be found here.
