Takeshi Medallion
Takeshi sculpted by Kylee Parks. Painted in Acrylics. Customized to include scales and gills. Completed in 2018.
This kelpie's color is very hard to capture in photographs which is also why she's such a difficult creature to spot and capture in the wild. ;) Her colors appear to almost change before your eyes from purples to blues to iridescent fine rainbows! Her markings and colors against the deep sea also make for the ultimate camouflage. Her eyes have extremely large pupils which allow her to see in the deep depths where hardly any light reaches. Her gills allow her to breathe under water for long periods of time, which aid a quick escape to the deep depths when there's danger in the shallows.
